KLA Schools Annual Fine Arts Festival Raises Money for KidsMatter

On July 25th, KLA Schools Fine Arts Festival showcased children's artwork that was created using different techniques.  Artwork included paintings, drawings, and three dimensional pieces made with recyclable materials, clay and cardboard, to name a few.

In addition to the galleries of art, the festival also holds a silent auction in which all proceeds are donated to KidsMatter.  KidsMatter is a nonprofit organization who helps children make positive choices and explore possibilities.  The silent auction raised a total of $795; Plainfield raised $380, Naperville collected $215 and Naperville West brought in $200.

Parents and families loved seeing the artwork on display and showed enthusiasm when their winning bids were revealed.  Taryn, a one of the kids exclaimed, “I really wanted that!” after discovering her bid won.
