Latin American Art Walk in Naperville

posted 07/24/24

The DuPage Hispanic Alliance (DHA) and The Downtown Naperville Alliance (DNA) partnered for a free family-friendly art walk this past Saturday.  The sounds, sights and traditions of the Latin American culture hit the streets for the first ever Latin sub(urban) Art Walk.

With collaboration of local businesses, over 20 artists of different Latin American backgrounds participated in the art walk.  The sounds of Merengue, Vallenato and Salsa filled the streets.

The DHA invited Giovanni Arellano to paint a window mural outside Nicholas Public Library.  The mural includes inspiration from Arellano's family and Mexican heritage and includes plants, vibrant colors and cultural references.
