Naperville Park District Seeks Diverse Business Contractors for Frontier Project

posted 07/17/24

Naperville Park District has been awarded a $118,000 grant from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for a renovation project at the Frontier Sports Complex.

As part of the provisions of the grant, the district must adopt a Business Enterprise Program that seeks businesses owned by specific demographic groups.  The program is described as assisting "underrepresented businesses” in entering the competitive bidding environment on government projects so that the demographic groups will have the means to “increase their capacity, grow revenue and enhance credentials.”

Bids will be accepted through 10am on Tuesday, July 23rd.  The project has numerous components and includes removal and installation of existing and replacement of playground structures tailored to kids 2-12 years old.
